AI CONSULTING FOR BRANDS & MANUFACTURERS

AI consulting that ends in production, not in a report.

We build the AI your company actually runs on — connected to your systems, deployed on your infrastructure, with a closed timeline and a written guarantee. Nine years running commerce operations, not a slide deck about them.

WHAT WE SOLVE

The six reasons companies call us

None of them is "we want AI". They are all a specific thing that costs money every week.

Your team spends the week on manual work

Reports, catalog updates, reconciliations, replies. Work that a person has to do because nobody has automated it, not because it needs judgement.

Your systems do not talk to your AI

The data lives in an ERP, a CRM, a marketplace and three spreadsheets. Your AI can talk about your business but cannot see it, so it guesses.

You are renting software you cannot leave

A closed SaaS bills you every month, holds your data and prices its AI features separately. The exit exists on paper and nobody has ever done it.

Decisions get made on gut feel

What to reorder, what to push, where the margin actually is. The data exists; nobody has turned it into a number you can act on before it is too late.

Your pilot never reached production

It demoed well. Then came permissions, data quality, who approves what — and it died there. MIT put the share of enterprise GenAI pilots returning nothing at around 95%, and they nearly all die in the same six places.

Nobody owns the outcome

You have tools, a vendor and a roadmap, and no single answer to "did this work?". Nobody is measured on it.

WHY US AND NOT A GENERIC FIRM

We run this every day. It is not a practice area for us.

The market has three kinds of provider, and each fails in a predictable way. This is where we sit.

A large consultancy

Sells strategy by the hour, subcontracts the build, and leaves when the deck is signed off.

Epinium: We build it, we deploy it, and we are measured on whether it runs.

A freelance consultant

Knows the technology, is one person, and disappears when they take another client.

Epinium: A team that operates AI in production for ~500 connected brands, every day.

A generic AI agency

Knows AI in the abstract and learns your business on your budget.

Epinium: Nine years inside commerce operations. We already know what a stockout, a vendor chargeback or an ACOS spike costs you.

HOW IT WORKS

Four steps, and you can stop at the first

Step 1 · free

Diagnosis. One call plus a look at your systems. We tell you what is worth automating, what is not, and whether we are the right people. Sometimes the answer is no.

Step 2

Written scope. Deliverables enumerated, a closed timeline, what we need from you, and the numbers we will be measured on. Before any invoice.

Step 3

Build and deploy. Read-only first, always: you see it working on your real data before it can change anything.

Step 4

Handover. Source in your repository, documentation, and your team trained on it. Maintenance is something you buy, not something you inherit.

WHAT IT COSTS

The honest answer to the question everybody asks first

We do not publish a rate, and neither does anyone serious — the scope decides it, and a number without a scope is a marketing device. What we can tell you is how the market prices this and how we do.

For reference, AI consulting rates in 2026 run $80–200/hour for an independent consultant, $150–350/hour for a technical boutique and $300–600/hour for a large firm. Projects span roughly $25,000 for a readiness assessment to $500,000 for a multi-system build, and a first-year enterprise GenAI implementation commonly totals $170,000–680,000. Those are the ranges you will be quoted elsewhere, and we think they are worth knowing before you talk to anyone — ours included.

We price the deliverable, not the hour

You buy a result with a date on it. Hours are our problem, not yours — which is also why we say no to work we cannot scope.

Accelerators carry a ROI guarantee

If the accelerator has not paid for itself in ten months, we keep working on it at no extra cost until it does. In writing, agreed before we start.

The diagnosis is free and non-binding

Including the part where we tell you it is not worth doing. We would rather lose the project than deliver something you cannot defend internally.

HOW WE BUILD

Four rules we do not negotiate

Read-only first

Every build starts by reading your real data and showing you real answers. Writing comes later, and only when you switch it on.

Nothing runs without approval

Anything that moves money or touches a customer record asks first, records who approved it, and can be undone.

It stays yours

Source in your repository, on your infrastructure, documented. Open source by default, no lock-in, hosted in the EU.

Written before it is built

Scope, timeline and the numbers we are judged on are agreed in the diagnosis — not discovered halfway through.

FAQ

The questions that come before the first call

How much do AI consulting services cost?

The scope decides it, so we do not publish a rate card. For reference, 2026 rates run $80–200/hour for an independent consultant, $150–350/hour for a technical boutique and $300–600/hour for a large firm, with projects between $25,000 and $500,000. We price the deliverable rather than the hour, and our packaged projects carry a written ROI guarantee: if it has not paid for itself in ten months, we keep working at no extra cost. We break the full picture down in what AI consulting costs in 2026.

How do I tell a real AI consultancy from a deck factory?

Four questions do most of the work. Who writes the code — you or a subcontractor? What exactly do I own when we finish? What is the timeline, in dates? And what happens if it does not work? A firm that answers all four in writing is a different proposition from one that answers none. There are three more in how to choose an AI consulting company that ships.

Do we need a technical team on our side?

No, but we need one person who knows how the process actually works today — not how the manual says it works. That person is worth more to the project than a developer.

Do you work with our ERP / CRM / marketplace?

If it has an API, yes, and if it does not we will tell you in the diagnosis instead of discovering it in week three. We do this constantly: connecting closed systems to AI agents is most of what we build.

Is this an agency? Will you run my accounts?

No. We build so that your team operates it. Running marketing accounts is a different business and a different company in our group. Here the agents work on your account and the decisions stay with you.

What happens to our data?

It stays where it is. We deploy on your infrastructure, we do not proxy your data through us, and everything runs under EU hosting with an audit trail of what the agents did.

Our last AI pilot never reached production. What would be different?

Pilots die in six predictable places — permissions, data condition, the autonomy decision, integration, ownership and measurement — and every one of them happens after the demo works. Our process is built backwards from that list: read-only access in week one on real data, a named process owner, an approval gate on anything touching money or customers, and an agreed metric with a baseline before the first invoice. The long version is in why enterprise AI pilots never reach production.

How fast can you start?

The diagnosis takes one call. A packaged project starts the same week if the access is ready; a custom build depends on the scope, which is what the diagnosis is for.

A free diagnosis: one call, and we tell you whether it is a packaged project, a custom build, or not worth doing. We say "not worth doing" more often than you would expect.
